Dear Friends,

The Hon'ble Chief Justice Mr. Gopalagowda and Hon'ble Justice Mr. B. N. Mahapatra of the High Court of Orissa will deliver orders on interim prayers on two PILs relating to the POSCO steel-power-port infrastructure in Orissa.  The PILs filed by Nishakar Khatua and ors. against the State of Orissa and ors. challenged the land acquisition for the project and the diversion of forest land for non-forest purposes in violation of Forest Rights Act.  The orders that will be pronounced tomorrow will be on interim prayer for stay.

Both PILs were argued by Senior Counsel Mr. Jayant Das.

The relevant part of the cause list is enclosed.

Thank you
