Activists of Banglar Manabadhikar Suraksha Mancha (MASUM) is facing frivolous and fabricated charges for organizing a 'People's Tribunal on Torture' on 9^th and 10^th June 2008 against police and BSF atrocities.

 

MASUM believe that this attack was not only on activists of MASUM but it is challenging the basic tenets of democratic fabric as well as the Constitutional guarantees regarding freedom of expressions. Kolkata Police with connivance of state government wants to throttle the expressions and dissenting voices against state atrocities.

 

Many distinguished organisations / personalities signed our appeal and shown their solidarity.

 

On 19^th of April 2010 we are going to organize a civil convention at Bengal Theosophical Society Hall, College Square from 5.00 pm onward with a topic --

 

'Organizing People's Tribunal – Legal or not?'

 

Your opinion and justification will encourage us to fight against prevailing fallacy of criminal justice system and impunity.
