To do counter-revolution against Buddhism and Emperor Ashoka. Cunning brahmins written mythical stories like RAMAYANA, GEETA, MAHABHARATA, etc. In Ramayana, brahmins shown cunning brahmin king Pushyamitra Shunga as RAM and they shown Mauryan empires as RAVANA. The last Mauryan king, BRIDHRATHA was killed by Pushyamitra. Since, total 10 kings of Mauryas were shown in Ramayana in the form of 10 headed RAVANA. Brahmins given name RAVANA to Mauryan kings so as to defame RAVANA. Actually, Ravana was an ADIVASI GOND king in Middle India during the time of the Buddha and he was the great follower of the BUDDHA. He had gained 10 BALA'S i.e. 10 PARIMITAS of Buddhism. So, he was called as 10 BALI RAVANA. Brahmins had destroyed Buddhsim and Mauryan empire. So, to defame Buddhist kings and to present Mauryan kings, they choose RAVANA as a VILLAINE in ramayana. If brahmins will present directly RAM against MAURYANS, then peoples wont accept him. So, brahmins written this original story in mythical form. To counter VIJAYA DASHAMI of great ASHOKA, brahmins shown in Ramayana that, Ram had killed Ravana on this day and stated calling it as DUSHARA i.e. DUS ( 10 ) and HARA means DEFEATED. So, DUSHARA is counter festival of invader brahmins against mulnivasi Indians favourite festival VIJAYA DASHAMI. All Indians should follow VIJAYA DASHAMI only and not DUSHARA !!
