CINEMA OF RESISTANCE

Resisting Fascism and Gender Violence

In memory of people's litterateur Nabarun Bhattacharya

The Second Kolkata People's Film Festival is the 43rd Cinema of Resistance festival organized with the motto of 'people's culture with people's support'. The festival will be held during 22-25 January 2015, from 11 am to 9 pm, at the Triguna Sen Auditorium (Jadavpur University, Gate No. 3). This year's theme for the festival is 'resisting fascism and gender violence'. We dedicate this year's festival to the indefatigable people's litterateur Nabarun Bhattacharya. Dr. Binayak Sen will inaugurate the festival. Renowned documentary filmmaker Anand Patwardhan  will deliver the Keynote address.

No tickets or passes are required to attend. Simply walk in!

For those who can afford to, please support the festival monitarily and otherwise, so that we may continue on this path of being free from big sponsorships.

A compact hyperlinked festival schedule can be found on our blog, here. The entire schedule or day-wise schedule may be viewed, and links to individual films may be viewed for film synopses and trailers.
