MEGA TRAFFIC BLOCK BETWEEN SEALDAH AND DUM DUM JN.: TRAIN SERVICES SUSPENDED FOR 16½ HOURS

Kolkata: July 2, 2010

 

A mega traffic block for urgent traffic maintenance work, for 16½ hours will be imposed from 10.30 p.m. of 3 July, 2010 (Saturday) to 3.00 p.m. of 4 July, 2010 (Sunday) between Kankurgachi and Dum Dum Jn. on both Up and Down lines of Eastern Railway's Sealdah Division. In addition, traffic block will also be imposed on down suburban line from 1.30 a.m. (midnight) to 2.30 a.m. (midnight) and again from 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. on Sunday, 4 July, 2010 on Bridge No. 13 at Bidhannagar Road Station.

 

As a result 2318 Dn Akal Takht Express on 03.07.10 (Sunday) will be diverted to Howrah.

2344 Dn Darjeeling Mail on 04.07.10 (Sunday) will be diverted to Howrah.

3154 Dn Gaur Express on 04.07.10 (Sunday) will be diverted to Kolkata.

2314 Dn. Rajdhani Express on 04.0710 will be diverted to Kolkata Terminal.

2317 Up Akal Takht Express  on 04.07.10 (Sunday) will originate from Howrah at 09.15 hrs.

2343 Up Darjeeling Mail on 04.07.10 (Sunday) will originate from Howrah at 23.10 hrs.

3153 Up Gaur Express on 04.07.10 (Sunday) will originate from Kolkata Terminal at 23.30 hrs.

37 pairs of EMU locals have been cancelled.

One Bongaon – Canning local (CB-2) and one Canning – Barasat (CD-1) has been cancelled.

Four pair of Sealdah-Hasnabad EMU local will short terminate at Barasat.

SK-279 Sealdah – Krishnanagar City will originate at Ranaghat on 04.07.10.
