Complaint against Vivekanand School for asking donation for School Admission in Class I Dear Sir, I wish to bring it to your kind notice that Vivekanand School at D-Block, Anand Vihar, Delhi has taken Rs 30000/- in cash, as donation for admission of my daughter Ms Cheista Sharma in Class 1st. Her admission number is 15593. I have given Rs 30000/- in cash to Mr Uday Kumar in school's account department, under protest, as I had no other option else he was not allowing my daughters admission even after she cleared the written test conducted on Feb 26, 2011. School administration has also refused to issue any receipt for the amount taken as donation and has only given me receipt for Rs 16464/- which was deposited in Punjab & Sind Bank extension counter in the school. This amount includes tuition fee for one quarter and other miscellaneous charges. Total amount paid under protest towards admission fee and donation is Rs 46,464/- in cash. It is my hard earned money and the amount has been taken without receipt and against government regulations, we request your intervention in this matter and direct the school administration for the refund of Rs 30000/- taken by them in cash on 03/03/3011. We also request you to please conduct an enquiry for assessment of school's accounting records as we suspect that they are fudged and are not complying with accounting standards. We expect that strict action against school will be taken promptly and it will not jeopardize admission of our ward in this school. We also suggest to education department that suitable instructions should be issued to all non-government private schools to follow the following fair practices. a) That it should be made mandatory for school to accept the admission charges and fees from parents through cheque/dd only and it should be promptly publicized to make the process transparent to all parents. b) It should be made mandatory to upload the list of selected candidates on school's website along with the admission charges for different classes. Yours truly, Sanjeev Kumar X/2534, Street No 8, Raghubarpura No 2, Gandhi Nagar, Delhi-110031 M # 9811064649
